In attendance – Brad Steinmetz, Myron Richard, Virgil Thomas, and Lonnie Muller

Opened at 7 p.m. by chairman Brad Steinmetz

Verification of meetings made at PO, bank, town hall and Bergums

Approval of January minutes:  motion by Thomas seconded by Richard, all yes

Approval of financial report:  motion by Richard seconded by Thomas, all yes

Citizen discussion period:  None

Informational reports:

Capitol Days: update by Lonnie Muller

Discussed municipal services payment.  We will be getting check from village.  Next year the check will come to the town of Stark.

Brad got about 150 to 200 yards of salt and sand mix left, should be enough to make it through the winter. Still some left in quarry but canÕt get to it.  All snow winged back today.  Arnie will be going around with end loader and if a citizen needs it and you can call him.  He will also be clearing intersections.

Truck radio update:  Radio purchased and paid for, goes into Jim HaughÕs truck.  Is Homeland Security compatible. Now have a used Motorola unit and will try to put into grader.

Brad got letter from DOT regarding TRIP grant and will get sent in.

Brad: WTA meeting, Sat. April 5th in La Crosse at the Raddison.

 

Old business:

  1. Comprehensive planning –survey remarkable, over 2/3rds returned, 203 returned out of 296. Still tabulating being done by Chuck Pasker. Union got 23% back. Reminder to send survey back suggested for newspaper.  Next meeting is first week in March.
  2. Brian Turner regarding resolution.  Already approved by Ontario, Whitestown, La Farge, and NOW school district.  Assemblyman Nerison and Senator Kapanke to be at Turners on Monday, February 25th. Brad suggested everyone vote on the individual for the board. Motion by Thomas seconded by Richard to approve the resolution but support the idea that people directly elect board members.  All yes.  (get letter to Brian Turner)
  3. Table comprehensive planning to next meeting. (I have copy in bills folder)
  4. Fire truck. La Farge State Bank will loan at 4.25% and can loan up to 4 years.

Brad and Lonnie will arrange loan.  Motion by Richard, 2nd by Thomas, all yes.

 

New business:  none
