Board meeting called to order
by chairman Brad Steinmetz at 7:35 p.m.
Motion to accept minutes of
October meeting by Thomas, 2nd by Richard with deletion of partial
sentence in new business on item c.
Motion by Thomas to pay bills
except Scotts and Vernon Co. highway dept, 2nd by Richard. All yes. Motion passes
Citizen discussion period:
None
Informational reports: Handout about annual ambulance and fire
association meeting. Ambulance
squad not requesting any money, fire department voted to put $5,000 into an
equipment fund. WTA meeting
results: Executive director Rick Stadelman made a legislative presentation, got
salt cost information; set comprehensive planning meeting for December 2nd.
Old business:
a. Flood damage update: Steinmetz has turned into FEMA 2007
forms for $32,000, and 2008 repairs for $76,500 and has signed off on both of
those. Forms should be in Madison by now.
. bTown hall status: Weiser Bros made presentation recently
at the La Farge village hall about a joint building with La Farge and Stark.
Dale Klemme will be at town hall at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.
c. Kickapoo river cleanup
update-is done, waiting for money from Conservation Dept, will get $6,100 back.
d. Rheinheimer property
conditional variance update – Lowell called Brad yesterday and said Mick
was working on road and Brad gave him requirements for a town road, and he has
a potential buyer for some land, somebody living now in an Airstream trailer on
the property, Brad suggested letting them stay there in the trailer as it is
developed property (Zack Matthes) Brad will call Lowell and let him know.
e. Ho-Chunk payment update
– Brad was at legislative meeting and will meet at Kickapoo Reserve Dec 1st.
f. Update on fall cleanup
– Every dumpster was jammed full, endloader used to pack it down. Cost around $500 beyond income.
g. Results of comprehensive
planning meeting – Getting ready for public meeting on Dec 13th,
posters will be made whereby ideas can be put onto posters. Karen Ehle Trastad
will coordinate meeting, Chuck Pasker has outlined the format and writing of
the plan.
New business:
Future meeting suggestions
– Donation to Vernon Economic Development Association, suggesting $500.
