Minutes of Monthly Meeting

April 20, 2005

 

Chairman Brad Steinmetz called meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All elected officials present and included chairman Brad Steinmetz, board members Dwain Jeffers and Myron Richard, clerk Lonnie Muller and treasurer Bonnie Potter.

 

Guests present were Rich and Lois Milonzyck, Don Barr, Koletta Steinmetz, and Tom McGee.

 

Verification of meeting notice.  Proper postings made according to clerk.

 

Approval of last month’s minutes made with a motion by Richard, seconded by Jeffers with the exception that item “h” be changed from p.m. to a.m. in regards to road inspection.  All yes.

 

Motion by Jeffers, seconded by Richard to pay bills.  All yes.

 

Citizen discussion period: Don Barr asked if he could have boards authorization to contact various building contractors regarding a new Stark town garage.  He was given the go-ahead providing no money was involved.  He will be put on the agenda for next month to report results.  A question came up if burn permits were still required.  Chairman Steinmetz said yes.

 

Informational reports: Clerk gave reports on: received road aid money, population estimate, meeting in town of Kickapoo, the need for a replenished first aid kit at the town garage, and upcoming meetings. Jeffers will check on getting grader tires mounted. Steinmetz reported Reserve paid too much taxes due to a state statute, $6,600 this year but don’t have to pay back; talked about junked cars and will be on agenda for next meeting.

 

 

Old business:  Reminder of road inspection on Friday, 22 April at 8 a.m.  Updates on Corps building lease, KRMB will act on Stark’s proposal except change 2 years to 1 year for prior notice.  $400 a month lease payment starting in June.

 

New business:

Voter registration with county approved.

Steinmetz for sure going to Tomah WTA meeting. Steinmetz, Muller, and Richard to Madison

August 18th is annual picnic

Building plans, Don Barr will check

Nelson Road sign ordered

Steinmetz will check with Gail Frie for fall cleanup date, October preferred

Repair Lowery Road this year and have it ready for sealcoating next year.

 

Motion to adjourn by Jeffers, seconded by Richard.  Adjourned 8:00 p.m.
