Meeting called to order by town chairman Brad Steinmetz at 7:00 p.m.  All elected officials present:  Dwain Jeffers and Myron Richard of the town board, treasurer Bonnie Potter and clerk Lonnie Muller.

 

Guests present were Christel Stueckrad, Doug Elmer, Becky Zahm, Brian Turner, Dale Parker, Bruce Tosch, Bob Van Every, Gary Leatherberry, Kay Mick, Regina Jeffers, Doug Muller, Linda Thomas, Jon Zahm, Jeff Everson, and Don Barr.

 

Verification of proper posting of meeting was confirmed.

 

Motion by Richard, seconded by Jeffers to approve last month's minutes.

Old Business:

Update on polling place access:  no money received yet

Capitol Days planning.  Lonnie will probably drive, leave at 6:30 a.m. from town hall.  All board going.

 

8. New business:

a. Request from Becky Zahm and Brian Turner to be nominated for the Kickapoo Reserve Board.  Motion by Jeffers, seconded by Richard to nominate Zahm.  All yes.  Motion by Jeffers, 2nd by Richard to nominate Turner, all yes.

b. Changes in zoning ordinance regarding driveways.  The zoning committee met earlier in the evening and went through the ordinance and made several recommendations. Don Barr was concerned about runoff from driveways into the roadway.  Will place on agenda for next meeting.

c. PILT payment - lower than last year by around $5,000

d. Stray dog pickup issue: Discussion only

e. Policy on plowing driveways:  Town does not do, does plow driveways in 5 places where the town road ends and driveways continue and goes to end of driveway to turnaround.  Patrolmen will sand driveways in case of ice storms.

f. Recycling attendent:  No word if Koletta Steinmetz will be returning, Brad will check.

g. Allowing septic systems in town when house in village:  Discussion held, no action.  Kay Mick said the state said it was legal.

h. Discussion on supporting cell tower:  Board had earlier indicated they did.  No action tonight.
