TOWN OF STARK, VERNON COUNTY, WI

Meeting called to order by town chairman Brad Steinmetz at 7:00
p.m. All elected officials present
and they were Dwain Jeffers and Myron Richard on the town board, clerk Lonnie
Muller and treasurer Bonnie Potter.
Guests present were Dave Ebbert, Joe Swanson, Regina Jeffers and
Rich and Lois Miloncyzk.
Verification of proper posting of meeting was confirmed.
Motion by Richard, seconded by Jeffers to approve last month's
minutes.
Motion by Jeffers, seconded by Richard to approve financial report
and payment of bills.
Citizen discussion period: Joe Swanson from the town of Webster
was in attendance to indicate he was running for the Vernon County board of
supervisors from District 23 which covers part of Stark. He handed out an
informational sheet. Dave Ebbert
stated he was running for the county board from district 25.
Informational reports: The Vernon County Landfill is sponsoring a
free meal in Viroqua. The
Milonczyk's and Richard's plan to attend. Chairman Steinmetz announced that
TABOR is back under a new name. Steinmetz reported on the board's trip to Madison
for Capitol Days and indicated some action was being taken on placing improved
property on the Kickapoo Reserve onto the assessment roll.
Old business: Muller gave an update on the polling place grant.
The zoning ordinance concerning driveways will be discussed under new business
and Steinmetz reported he didn't find much of a problem with junk vehicles on
Munson Road as had been reported previously by a citizen.
New business:
Kay Mick nominated to replace Doug Muller as an alternate on the
zoning board. Motion by Jeffers,
seconded by Richard to approve.
All yes.
The driveway zoning changes have been incorporated and a public
hearing will be held on March 1st.
Koletta Steinmetz doesn't plan on coming back to work at the
Recycling Center but Brenda Kratzer stated she would take over the position
with the Milonczyk's as backup personnel.
Brian Bufton was not in attendance regarding a highway safety
problem .
The clerk stated that Zzip Stop would no longer deduct state tax
off the fuel bills prior to submitting for payment.
It was requested that a computer purchase and property assessment
both be added onto the agenda for the next meeting on March 15th.
