TOWN OF STARK, VERNON COUNTY, WI

 

WEDNESDAY, 15 November, 2006

Meeting called to order by town chairman Brad Steinmetz at 7:07 p.m. All elected officials present: Dwain Jeffers and Myron Richard of the town board, treasurer Bonnie Potter and clerk Lonnie Muller.

 

 

 

Guests present were Chuck Pasker, Koletta Steinmetz, Regina Jeffers, Rich and Lois Milonczyk, Virgil and Linda Thomas and Cecil Chapin.

 

 

 

Verification of proper posting of meeting was confirmed.

 

 

 

Motion by Jeffers, seconded by Richard to approve last month's minutes and motion by Richard, seconded by Jeffers to approve minutes of special meeting. All yes.

 

 

 

Motion by Jeffers, seconded by Richard to approve financial report and payment of bills. All yes.

 

 

 

Citizen discussion period: Pasker inquired about consolidating voting sites.

 

 

 

Informational reports: Pollworkers will be chosen at December meeting, financial position of town for remainder of year is ok.

 

 

 

Old business:

 

a. Fall cleanup final costs were $714.

 

b. Assessment report: Will be discussed in new business.

 

c. Nothing new on billings from fire department

 

d. Still working with employees on health benefit package

 

e. New truck not ready until February, old truck repaired

 

f. Looking for volunteers for Comprehensive Planning Committee

 

 

 

New Business:

 

a. Will keep Rustic Road status for Tunnelville Road.

 

b. "No Dumping" signs to be placed atop French Hill

 

c. Motion by Richard, 2nd by Jeffers to hire assessor Cecil Chapin for 2007 at a cost of $6,400 plus expenses and to bring assessment up to 100%. All yes.

 

 

 

Motion by Jeffers, 2nd by Richard to adjourn. Adjourned 8:05 p.m.
