MINUTES OF SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

 

TOWN OF STARK, VERNON COUNTY, WI

 

WEDNESDAY, 28 MARCH 2007

Special meeting called to order by town chairman Brad Steinmetz at 7:00 p.m. Other elected officials present were Dwain Jeffers and Myron Richard of the town board, and clerk Lonnie Muller. .

 

 

 

Guests were two representatives from Scott Construction, Jo Lynn Shanahan from Kraemers and Tom McGee.

 

 

 

Verification of proper posting of meeting was confirmed.

 

 

 

New business:

 

a. Opening bids for gravel and sealcoating: Kraemers bid $5.94 a yard for 3/4" gravel, and the same price for the TRIP grant. Motion by Jeffers, 2nd by Richard to approve. All yes. Contract signed.

 

 

 

Scott bid $12,780 per mile for hard seal at 24 foot width, $19,950 per mile, 24 foot wide, for single seal and $27,952.50 for double seal at 24 foot wide. TRIP bid for Maple Ridge Road is $18,285.60 and Zahm Road is $6,071.10. Motion by Richard, 2nd by Jeffers to accept bid. All yes. Contract signed.

 

 

 

These were the only bidders.

 

 

 

April 28th finalized for Clean Up Days.

 

 

 

Motion by Steinmetz, seconded by Richard to join the Kickapoo Reserve Clean Up Days advertising at no cost for Earth Days. All yes.

 

 

 

Motion to change affiliation of agents for health insurance by Richard, 2nd by Jeffers, all yes.

 

 

 

Motion to adjourn by Jeffers, 2nd by Richard. Adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
