Wage: Negotiable based on experience - $23/hr minimum, plus supplemental benefits including a 400 dollar a month healthcare stipend and 60 dollar per month cell phone stipend

Job Description:
The assistant patrolman will report to the Patrolman and shall maintain the roads in the Town of Stark. The Town of Stark has approximately 32 miles of road that must be maintained. In spring, summer and fall this mostly includes road maintenance and construction. In winter it mostly includes snow plowing and road sanding.
Job Duties:
- Operating a variety of light and heavy road maintenance and construction equipment and tools to perform road surface and shoulder maintenance such as: paving, shouldering, grading, sweeping, sealcoating, patching, and striping
- Performing shoulder to right-of-way maintenance such as: removing debris and hazards, cutting brush and trees, mowing roadsides, and vegetative management
- Inspecting, installing, replacing, and maintaining culverts and drainage; cleaning out streams, and ditches; clearing debris
- Preparing safe work sites and clearing hazards
- Performing road plowing in winter
- Performing equipment maintenance
- Support Solid Waste and Recycling Center Supervisor for clean up days
- Variety of other tasks assigned by Patrolman
Job Requirements:
- CDL is required to drive heavy equipment (if you do not have a CDL, contact the board for possibilities of obtaining one)
- Will be on call days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to perform physical work in a variety of positions and at various heights including bending, stooping, reaching and twisting of arms and body movement as well as walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Tolerate a variety of temperature conditions
